Following University workload guidelines, each point in a course has 10 hours of learning. Therefore, this standard 15-point course represents approximately 150 hours of study.
Over the 10 weeks of a quarter, the class will meet for 4 hours per week, comprising a 2-hour plenary lecture and a 2-hour tutorial/workshop. Class time will be used for lectures, discussions, problem-solving, group work, and feedback from participation/assessments. There will also be a 1.5-hour consultation hour running each week, starting from Week 2 of the quarter.
In addition to attending classes, students should be prepared to spend another 10 hours per week on activities related to this course. These activities include working through required readings, case studies, problem-solving, and preparing assessments. Students are strongly encouraged to seek assistance from the Business Communications Team (BCT) 48 hours prior to assignment submission dates.
