This course is offered in two delivery modes:
Campus Experience (Offered Semester 2 only)
Engagement with course materials in the form of asynchronous lecture content followed by on-campus workshops, readings, self-directed online tasks, and other resources is required for practicum preparation.
Practicum will include working with an Associate Teacher, Professional Supervisor and School Coordinator in a Practicum Placement school to work through a series of set tasks to develop competency in Key Teaching Tasks.
Full-time attendance on practicum is required for assessment.
The campus experience course, including practicum, runs from July through to the first weeks of December.
Online (Offered Semester 1 & 2)
Learning activities will be provided in modules on the University of Auckland's learning management system called Canvas. These will be published and available each week, inclusive of asynchronous online learning activities including readings, recorded lecture materials, videos, and collaborative and independent tasks.

Full-time, in-person attendance on practicum is required for assessment.
The activities for the course are scheduled throughout the semester. The online experience course, including practicum, runs from January to July for Semester 1 enrolments, and July through to the first weeks of December for Semester 2 enrolments.
