EDUCSW 302 Service Learning focuses on preparing employment-ready students through learning about the expectations of a professional in the fields of sport, health and physical education through course work and service learning experiences.
Service learning is a structured educational experience which is designed around students being actively engaged in, and reflecting on, a work place environment relevant to sport, health and physical education contexts. The accumulated work experiences must be a minimum of 60 hours. These experiences can be structured in different ways subject to approval from your course lecturers.
The course focusses on knowledge and skills to help graduates make the transition from undergraduate study to employment, post-graduate study or initial teacher education with the field.
