This second-semester intermediate language course follows and builds on the first-semester course ITALIAN 200, again seeking a balance between the communicative and structural elements of language learning. It aims to build your proficiency in the main skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing and to expand your cultural knowledge of contemporary Italy through a wide range of authentic material (articles, statistics, music, films, news and so on). The topics covered include Italian music, art, science and literature, as well as social and environmental problems of today’s Italy.
This course is delivered through a two-hour session per week on campus, blended with an on-line component that uses up-to-date methodology and extensive multimedia materials.
