A range of topics in Sensation and Perception will be explored, including those of applied interest, experimental approaches, and methods. Examples may include cross-modal effects on taste perception, misophonia and misokinesia, the five (or is it 6?) basic tastes, false memory for foods, threshold estimation, preference testing, the auditory sensory meridian response, and other contemporary topics.
Coursework will include: A seminar which will be a recording. A question-and-answer session will be related to the seminar. Students will also be expected to ask questions at the question-and-answer sessions of other students. The final coursework will be a group seminar delivered in person. There is also a 3-hour exam at the end of the course.
