Hosted in the School of Medical Science’s Department of Anatomy and Medical Imaging, students of Anatomy will have access to a fully integrated facility that underpins human anatomy, radiology and pathology teaching.
This includes the:
- Biomedical Imaging Research Unit
- Human brain bank for neuroscience research
- AMRF Medical Sciences Learning Centre – Whakaaro Pai
- Histology Laboratory

Doctoral study in Anatomy
The University is ranked within the top 100 for Anatomy and Physiology worldwide (2019).
This programme is hosted within the School of Medical Sciences, which attracted over $30 million NZD in external research funding in 2018
our students can access a range of world-class facilities, including the AMRF Medical Sciences Learning Centre - Whakaaro Pai.
