Master of Earthquake Engineering specialisation in Earthquake Engineering

A specialisation is a focused collection of courses within a programme that allows you to gain deep, targeted knowledge in a specific sub-field. Normally these courses make up more than 50 percent of a qualification, some of which lead to registration within a certain field. They may be interdisciplinary, professionally oriented, or designed to meet accreditation requirements. Specialisations often restrict elective choice in favour of a clearly defined study plan.

MEqEng - Master of Earthquake Engineering

With the prior approval of the Head of Department, up to 30 points may be replaced by other appropriate 600 and 700 level courses at this or another University.

Complete 180 points comprising:

60 points for all Compulsory Courses, and
120 points for Elective Courses

Complete 120 points comprising:

At least 45 points from Level 9 Courses , and
0 to 75 points from Structures Courses, and
0 to 60 points from Earthquakes Courses, and
0 to 60 points from Other Courses

Selected courses must include courses from at least 2 of the following lists: Structures Courses, or Earthquakes Courses.
