Master of Engineering Project Management specialisation in Health Projects

The Master of Engineering Project Management in Health Projects is unique to New Zealand. Students will capitalise on the University’s connections with the New Zealand Ministry of Health to provide research projects, guest lectures, case studies and site visits. By the time you graduate, you’ll be well-prepared to project manage health infrastructure and development.

The Auckland District Health Board will provide four University of Auckland students with paid internships while they study a Master of Engineering Project Management, Health Projects specialisation. The Auckland District Health Board will fund four internships for University of Auckland students, which you can learn about here. Students will learn a comprehensive set of approaches to project in the health sector, including practical applications of project management methodology and theory. While the majority of the programme focuses on engineering projects delivery, it will be in the context of health management leadership and population health, as well as managing stakeholders in the healthcare industry. The programme will also address obligations to reduce health disparities by improving health outcomes for Māori and other population sectors.
