Knowledge and Skills

The module fosters a capacity to think like a teacher in the broadest sense and to critically engage with ideas about public pedagogy and its educative reach in society. You will gain a critical understanding of teaching traditions, teaching practices in a variety of environments and spaces, and ideas of 'the child' and 'the teacher'.

Potential Careers

You will actively engage with diverse and expansive ways of thinking about the place of education in society including educational practices, philosophies and approaches that will be valuable in a range of careers in education, arts, community and charitable organisations, institutional management and mentoring, health and social work.

You must complete three of the courses listed below (45 points), including one course at each stage.
Each course is worth 15 points. Before you can enrol in a Stage II course you need to have passed the prerequisite courses for enrolment in that course.
